COMMUNITY SERVICE

BUILDING CHARACTER THROUGH COMPASSION FOR OTHERS
Love for humanity, concern for our complex ecosystem and preservation of the earth's rapidly depleting resources are at the forefront of Nasra School's community service initiatives. We encourage student exposure to these areas of vital concern in our community, in an effort to not only increase awareness but also compassion and empathy for the less privileged, and to help provide solutions when possible. Our students are taught early on about the important role that each individual plays in the grand scheme of our community's progress- how small and seemingly insignificant acts of kindness have an enormous impact on those who are suffering; how to contribute positively and proactively to the environment which we all share; and how to apply the knowledge gained at Nasra School to benefit the entire community, thereby becoming productive citizens of the nation.

Programs such as tree plantations, beach cleanup drives, Reduce/ Reuse/ Recycle initiatives, fund-raising for the education of underprivileged children (at TCF) and donating gifts to the needy are a mere handful of examples which personify the level of heart-felt commitment our students readily display, valiantly mirroring our humanitarian founder, Nasra Wazir Ali's tenet of the selfless service of humanity as the most rewarding and noble purpose of life.
