Colleague, friend, advisor, confidant, son- Hasan Karim Pirani has been all of the above and more to ETNS founder, Nasra Wazir Ali (S.I.) and her immediate family.
With an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Preston University, Karachi, Hasan joined ETNS in 1989, as a humble fee accountant, working tirelessly and righteously to ascend the ranks, achieving the titles of Senior Accountant, Chief Accountant (2002), Head of Finance (2012) and finally, Head of Finance and Operations (2017).
A humanitarian to the core, he has devoted over 32 years of selfless voluntary service to the Aga Khani community as well as the Ismaili Council, working with prominent philanthropists and earning well-deserved recognition along the way.
To this day, Hasan recalls his time spent learning from Nasra Wazir Ali with a mixture of warmth, gratitude, admiration and nostalgia, reflecting fondly upon their bond, a bond akin to that of mother and son, a bond which transcends this worldly realm. While the void left behind by her loss is fathomless, Hasan believes that carrying out and sustaining her mission of serving the less privileged is the most profound way to honor her memory and legacy.
